OUR STORY

No matter where God takes us, we never want to forget where we started: as a handful of Cape Codders whose hearts were broken for their friends, neighbors, and family members who needed hope. That team prayed about what a church on Cape Cod should look like; not just another building for Christians to meet in, but a community of people whose lives had been changed by Jesus who could create an environment that people would actually want to be a part of. From there, Harbor Church was officially launched in 2016, meeting first in a living room, then a small clubhouse, a storefront, in the basement of another church, and finally in our first permanent location in the old Cape Maid Farms building in Hyannis.
 
And now? Harbor is one church in two locations, with a heart to see more churches planted – not because we want to become bigger, but because our heart is to bring Gospel centered churches to as many communities as possible, so everyone can get the chance to escape empty religion and find a real relationship with Jesus.

LEAD PASTOR JOSH ADAMS

Pastor Josh studied Pastoral Theology at Baptist Bible College, then moved to Cape Cod to be a Youth Pastor. After 10 years of investing in teens on Cape, Josh and his wife Kaleigh responded to God’s call to start Harbor Church alongside a team of people who shared their burden for their community.

What’s Pastor Josh up to on an average day? You might spot him glued to a Pats game, whipping up a killer hibachi-style breakfast, or getting way too into a board game. But beyond the fun, you’ll quickly discover God’s given Pastor Josh a serious gift: making the Bible come alive. He has a passion for teaching God’s truth in a way that just clicks, helping anyone to understand, relate, and actually apply it to their everyday lives.
