December Update
December 7, 2004
December is a critical month for Harbor Church. So many of the people that God allows us to reach come from the streets, from broken families, and from a long history of medicating their feelings with drugs, alcohol, and sex. Because of thes issues, Christmas becomes one of the most vulnerable times of the year. The presence of depression becomes more pronounced. The pain of lost opportunities becomes more real. The temptation to use drugs or alcohol becomes more immediate.
Would you please intensify your prayer efforts during this season for Josh and Aimee Wood, Directors of Alpha House? Alpha House is our ministry to those in recovery from drug and alcohol use. Would you pray by name for David, Gary, Rob, and Tony?
Would you please intensify your prayer efforts during this season for Loren and Tanya Gardner, Directors of Yupon House? Yupon House is our ministry to unwed mothers and their infant children. Would you pray by name for Amanda and Bailey?
Would you pray for Robin Martin and for Jim and Betty Herrington as they shepherd the house church communities at Harbor during this season? Pray for wisdom and courage to stay the course. This season usually produces more than it’s share of crises, late night telephone calls, and combat duty.
